My bags are lying empty on the floor, ready to be packed. Standing here and looking out at the rainy weather, I'm starting to feel the excitement bubbling inside of me. The excitement of my upcoming travels this week. There is nothing that I'm more ready for than switching out these cold Danish October days with some warmer Italian ones! - At least for a little while. My trip to Italy is part of the blogger campaign #atLakeGarda arranged in collaboration with Nordic Travel Bloggers (NordicTB) and Garda Trentino S.p.A, where I together with four other travel bloggers will be exploring and promoting the region of Trentino.

The town of Riva del Garda, an Italian gem situated on the Nothern part of Lake Garda, will be our base during our five days stay. First time I got acquainted with Riva del Garda, was after reading the Photo Diary by Nikoline from Departdeux and by the looks of it, I can already tell, that this stay will be grand. With its location right by Lake Garda and near the mountains, Riva del Garda is an ideal place to stay for those seeking an active vacation. The area offers multiple possibilities of great outdoor activities and hence why its known for being popular with sailors, windsurfers, hikers, climbers and mountain bikers alike. Our program will be taking us out on some of these activities, so rest assured we wont be spending our days on our lazy sides- haha.

We will hike the Ponale Trail, which winds along the lake overlooking the water, as well as make a visit to Arco, where the ruins of Castle of Arco, one of the most beautiful medieval fortresses in the Alps, is found. If the weather conditions are with us, I expect to throw myself out on my very first SUP experience in the wee hours of the day. It is something I have been dying to try for some time now, so I am crossing my fingers that it will happen. Seeing that the Trentino Garda area is like a climber's paradise, I have decided that I cannot leave without trying my hands on climbing! An easy Via Ferrata Experience to either Rio Sallagoni or Colodri will probably suit an inexperience mountain goat like me. And yes, there is much more on the program but let's save that for later ;)

I have a feeling I'll be falling in love with this place in no time. Send me up the mountains, let me wander through the picturesque sceneries for hours and top it all of with some amazing food in between, then you got me hooked!

Follow a long on Facebook and Instagram, where I'll live updating during the trip starting Wednesday and ending Sunday. See you there!

    1. Yeah, I remember reading your post about Riva del Garda, so thought why not share it - seemed only reasonable. Hehe ;) The town looked like a dreamy vacation spot in your post and now that I have been there myself, I can testify that it is!! Wish we've had more time to explore the region further, because there is still a lot of things I want to see and try there! :)
