Join us on "Ein Smuttur" to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

~~~ sponsored post ~~~
Oh dear. It has been quiet on the blog lately, too quiet indeed. With both of us starting on new jobs in May, and both of us moving due to these said jobs, we simply had to focus the majority of our energy on adjusting to our new lives and get familiar with new routines. On the surface it might seem as if we had dwelled into a 'blog hibernation' during these past three months but in reality we have actually been working on a few things behind the scene.
One of them is our upcoming trip to the federal state Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in Northern Germany.
Tomorrow morning we will be hitting the highways with music blasting out of the radio as we cross the Danish-German land border and make our way to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, where we will be staying from Thursday til Sunday. As we say in Danish "Vi tager sgu lige en smuttur over grænsen til Tyskland" (translate: We are taking a small trip across the border to Germany). However, not for the common reason to stock up on beer, booze & candy but to discover the beautiful nature of Meck-Pomm and of course being outdoorsy as we do best. This four days getaway will start off on Germany's largest island Rügen followed by a visit to the Mecklenburg Lake District (Mecklenburgische Seenplatte), also known as 'The Land of a Thousand Lakes".
We wont share all our plans this instant but you can follow along on Instagram @Shinimichi and our Facebook page Shinimichi for daily updates during our travels. All we will reveal for now is that there will be a lot of exploring along Rügen's famous coastline including a visit to Jasmund National Park, hiking between the age old beeches at Müritz National Park, and staying a night on a raft after spending the afternoon sailing some of the many lakes in the Lake-District.
So join us as we explore Mecklenburg-Vorpommern!
Perhaps you will get inspired to make your own trip there someday ;)
  1. Det lyder rigtig spændende! Synes ofte kun man ser fede billeder og destinationer fra det sydlige Tyskland, så det bliver forfriskende og inspirerende og følge med når I smutter over grænsen :-)
    1. Det er rigtig spændende at være med til at vise, at Nordtyskland også har sit at byde alle os rejselystende folk på. Vi blev hvertfald selv inspireret af vores besøg i MeckPomm og håber selvfølgelig, at vi kan være med til at inspirere andre til et lignende besøg i området :)
